SEVAN eco vetting
Covers an assessment of raising Lake Sevan's level by about 6.5 m, back to its 1903 level. It is part of the EU4Sevan programme, with Sweco doing the modelling. The aim is to restore the lake, which suffers from climate-driven algal blooms.
Drink or not to Drink
In Armavir the tap water is hard and tastes bad, so people buy unregulated truck-delivered water from Talin at about 50 times the price. The state says a fix is too expensive.
Amulsar - Strong Mountain
By the Green Armenia NGO, released in February 2021. It tells the story of the Amulsar gold mine project and the opposition to it from 2006 to 2020, including breaches of international standards and Armenian law. It won an Honorable Mention at the Berlin film festival.
The Cost of Water
Investigates Armenia's water crisis, where about 80% of water resources are lost each year. The causes include poor management, lack of transparency, climate change and the aftermath of the 2020 war. The film has been widely broadcast and used in schools and by NGOs.
