Աշոտ Հարոյանը ծնվել է Շիրակի մարզի Երազգավորս գյուղում։ 2017 թվականին ավարտել է Երազգավորսի միջնակարգ դպրոցը և նույն թվականին ընդունվել Շիրակի պետական համալսարանի պատմության ֆակուլտետ, սակայն ուսումը դադարեցրել է բակալավրիատի երրորդ կուրսում։ Երեք տարի արտերկրում աշխատելուց հետո 2024 թվականին վերադարձել է Հայաստան և մասնակցել ԹՈՒՄՈ ակադեմիայի ֆիլմարտադրության վեցամսյա դասընթացին։ 2025 թվականին նկարահանել է «Իսկ դու ինձ սիրու՞մ ես» վավերագրական ֆիլմը, որն այժմ հետարտադրության փուլում է։ 2025 թվականին մասնակցել է նաև EurasiaDoc աշխատարանին, իսկ այժմ սովորում է Doc Film Community դպրոցում։

Ashot Haroyan was born in Yerazgavors village in Armenia’s Shirak region. He graduated from Yerazgavors Secondary School in 2017 and entered the History Faculty of Shirak State University the same year, but discontinued his studies during the third year of his bachelor’s program. After working abroad for three years, he returned to Armenia in 2024 and completed a six-month filmmaking course at TUMO Academy. In 2025, he made the documentary Do You Love Me?, which is now in post-production. He also participated in the EurasiaDoc workshop in 2025 and currently attends courses at the Doc Film Community school.
