Արուսյակ Սիմոնյանը ծնվել է 1982 թվականի նոյեմբերի 14-ին և ավարտել է Երևանի թատրոնի և կինոյի պետական ինստիտուտը։ Նա «Իմ Նոր տարին» 27-րոպեանոց խաղարկային ֆիլմի (2018) ռեժիսորն ու սցենարիստն է։ Ֆիլմն արժանացել է լավագույն կարճամետրաժ ֆիլմի մրցանակին 2018 թվականի Տորոնտոյի Pomegranate Film Festival-ում, 2019 թվականի «Անահիտ» մրցանակին, հատուկ հիշատակման՝ Երևանի կարճամետրաժ ֆիլմերի միջազգային կինոփառատոնում, ինչպես նաև մրցանակների «Ոսկե ծիրան» միջազգային կինոփառատոնի, Հայաստանի կինոակադեմիայի, «Կին» միջազգային կանանց կինոփառատոնի և Մոսկվայի տան կողմից։ Նա «Անբան Հուռի» 22-րոպեանոց մուլտմյուզիքլի երգերի բառերի հեղինակն է և «Ապրելու համար» 20-րոպեանոց խաղարկային ֆիլմի ռեժիսորը։ Նա նաև նկարահանել և բեմադրել է «Երիտասարդ մարդը, ով ոչինչ չտեսավ, կամ վարժություն 09:39» 24-րոպեանոց վավերագրական ֆիլմը, որը 2010 թվականին Հայաստանը ներկայացրել է DOK Leipzig-ի արտամրցութային ծրագրում։

Arusyak Simonyan was born on November 14, 1982, and graduated from the Yerevan State Institute of Theatre and Cinematography. She directed and wrote the 27-minute fiction film My New Year (2018), which won Best Short Film at the 2018 Pomegranate Film Festival in Toronto, Canada; the 2019 Anahit Award for Best Short Film; a Special Mention at the 2018 Yerevan International Short Film Festival; and awards connected with the Golden Apricot International Film Festival, the Armenian National Film Academy, the KIN International Women’s Film Festival, and the Moscow House. She wrote lyrics for the 22-minute animated musical Anban Huri and directed the 20-minute fiction film To Live. She also directed and shot the 24-minute documentary The Young Man Who Saw Nothing, or Exercise 09:39, which represented Armenia in the out-of-competition program of DOK Leipzig in 2010.
